We offer face-to-face consultations where all patients and household members are fully vaccinated or hold a medical exemption.  In-home consultations is at the attending doctors discretion, alternatively, a Telehealth consult may be offered.

This is subject to change based on the State Health Incident Coordination Centre (SHICC) public health notifications.

At the time of placing a call for a home visit, staff will ask if the patient or close family have been to any exposure site. We require full disclosure of being at (or in close proximity) of any known exposure site, prior to any doctor attending.

Welcome to DOCTOR HOME VISITS

Doctor Home Visits is a service provided by The Western Australian Deputising Medical Service (WADMS) and exists solely to offer patients home medical care both in-hours and after-hours on behalf of their own GP.

‘Doctors Working For Doctors' has been our guiding principle since our inception in 1977 and it is one that we firmly stand by today, almost 43 years later. Our board of members is made up entirely of well-respected doctors who donate their time and experience to create and maintain an ethical and professional deputising medical service for the benefit of Perth’s population.

As a non-profit co-operative, we are one of the oldest and still remain the only 24 hour 365 days of the year locum service, with the call centre also located locally in Perth. The telephones are answered around the clock with a friendly operator always on hand to assist.

Our staff take pride in providing the best possible service to all of our GP members. Not only do we consistently provide the highest level of care to all of our patients, but we are always expanding our visiting boundary and increasing our roster of locum doctors to meet the needs of a growing Perth community.

Doctor Home Visits is also AGPAL accredited under the recognised standards set by RACGP.

If you find yourself with an unexpected illness and are unable to visit your regular GP during surgery hours, please contact your Medical Practice first and they will be able to arrange a home visit where necessary on your behalf. When your surgery is closed, however, simply call us directly on 9321 9133. Our call centre staff is waiting to take your call and assist with providing the convenience of being seen by a doctor - in the comfort of your own home or care facility.
